Here are Dino’s ten theses for more impactful digital out-of-home advertising – delivered with the same bold rhetoric as at the event. Here we go:
1. Creativity is critical.
2. Get the basics right. They exist for a reason.
3. If you’re not measuring creativity, you’re shooting in the dark.
4. There are basic rules for good creative. Insist on them. (No more than 3 elements. Use the 2-second read rule.)
5. Changing ad creative too often is missing out on long-term growth. Burn-out is (mostly) a myth. Hold your nerve and buy more media.
6. Share data with creatives. They need evidence to know what works.
7. ROI = Efficiency. Budget = Effectiveness. “Go big or go home!”
8. Support your older campaigns for longer.
9. Take advantage of the specific benefits of DOOH.
