Outshine and the City of Espoo signed an agreement in early November to launch the construction of a new digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising network, with the first installations set for late 2025.
The agreement will significantly increase the total volume of digital advertising in Espoo, introducing a modern network of at least 188 portrait screens across city streets, urban centers, and major connecting arteries. This will be, by far, the most comprehensive DOOH network in Espoo. The rollout will occur in stages, reaching full scale during 2027. Once completed, the portrait displays will reach residents both within their local neighborhoods and along Espoo’s primary commuter routes.
While the exact construction schedule will be finalized later, the first digital screens are expected to hit the streets this coming winter. The network will expand progressively toward the initial 188-screen goal. The contract also includes an option for 96 additional locations, potentially bringing the total inventory to 380 advertising faces. The agreement spans a 10-year period.
”From next year onwards—and for the next decade—we will be the most comprehensive DOOH operator in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Our digital network is not only expansive but also offers market-leading quality. Following our standards in Oulu and Helsinki, these screens feature the latest technology, delivering content in crisp 4K resolution,” says Tommi Fäldt, Commercial Director at Outshine.
This partnership elevates DOOH coverage in the capital region to a completely new level, providing businesses and organizations with an unrivaled opportunity to reach residents and commuters within Espoo.
