Legend has it that architect Alvar Aalto sketched the first draft of Helsinki’s Kulttuuritalo (House of Culture) on the lid of a cigarette box. That sketch became an iconic landmark, part of Helsinki’s cultural history for over 60 years. Now, the story continues as Outshine added Kultsa’s digital screens to its network in mid-August — right along the busy Sturenkatu.

Screens That Don’t Go Unnoticed on Sturenkatu
Every day, thousands of commuters pass through Kallio’s Sturenkatu — by public transport, on foot, or by car. Right on the slope of Sturenkatu, standing proudly in front of Kulttuuritalo, shine Outshine’s three vertical LED screens, two horizontal ones, and one seasonal eye-catcher: a large 9 x 6 meter wall projection above the entrance, perfect for the darker months.
Anyone who’s ever attended a concert at Kultsa knows the feeling — waiting outside for the doors to open, anticipating the night ahead. Now, the screens offer a glimpse of what’s to come — or maybe something entirely unexpected. Time will tell — but they won’t go unnoticed.
Culture and Entertainment Start at the Door
Kulttuuritalo also uses Outshine’s screens to promote its own events. The digital screens and the large wall projection during darker hours invite people into the world of culture and entertainment — and offer brands a chance to be part of the vibrant flow of events:
“It’s an honor to be part of Kulttuuritalo’s next chapter. The screens are already available for booking — and soon it’ll be the perfect season for the big wall projection. As the evenings grow darker, Kultsa will shine,” says Tommi Fäldt, Commercial Director at Outshine.
